THANK YOU to everyone for your efforts to elect Democrats in 2022. Per Chair Podlodowski, we collectively knocked over 200,000 doors, made over All of our Federal Patty Murray
Canvasses, Phonebanks, and more – You can knock doors, make phone calls, or send TXT messages in-person or remote from nearly anywhere in the state. Organizers are active across WA. Last Call for 2022 – Three days from today, we’ll be waking-up having a sense of how our country is moving forward. Will it be ROEvember? Will Democrats hold the U.S. House and the U.S. Senate? Will strengthened WA state legislative majorities protect us here in Washington?
Training Programs – Emerge and IDF applications are open for their next cohorts. If you or someone you know is interested, please recommend them:
- Emerge Washington empowers Democratic women to run and win through their signature program and boot camps. Emerge Signature Program 2023 applications are open through Thu, 11/10. Emerge trained 34 candidates running in 2022. 42 Emerge WA alumni ran in 2021 and 48 Emerge WA alumni hold elected office.

Candidate Spotlight: Dr. Kim Schrier
Incumbent congresswoman and pediatrician, Dr. Kim Schrier, who re-captured this seat for Democrats in 2018 faces three serious Republican challengers: Reagan Dunn represents the SE part of the 8th CD on the King County Council and benefits from voter name recognition as the son of former 8th CD Rep. Jennifer Dunn; Jesse Jensen has raised over $400,000; and Matt Larkin is a former Republican state-wide candidate who raised nearly $400,000.

Candidate Spotlight: Steve Hobbs
Democrat Steve Hobbs was appointed Secretary of State by Governor Inslee after the resignation of Republican Kim Wyman. For decades, relatively blue Washington voters elected Republican Secretaries of State and former legislator Hobbs faces his first state-wide election to retain the critical office for Democrats to ensure voting rights in WA state. Two potential challengers have each raised over $10,000 as of January PDC reports.

Candidate Spotlight: Marie Gluesenkamp Perez
Democrat, small business owner, and mom Marie Gluesenkamp Perez is running for the southwest Washington Congressional seat currently occupied by an incumbent Republican who placed 3rd in the primary. She is endorsed by leaders from U.S. Senators Murray and Cantwell to the Mayors of Ilwaco and Washougal and has a great shot to win against an extreme right-wing MAGA Republican.
